Man Arrested For Threatening To Assassinate Obama
Raymond Hunter Giesel is being held without bail in Florida. He made a threat in July while attending a training class for bail bondsmen in Miami, Florida. His SUV and hotel room contained a loaded handgun, knives, lots of ammunition, a machete and body armor. His SUV was also wire with emergeny lights.
He is currently in the custody of federal authorities and was ordered held without bail Thursday, August 7, 2008 at a brief court hearing.
According to the Secret Service, Giesel said in his interview with them, "if he wanted to kill Senator Obama he would simply shoot him with a sniper rifle."
