Palin Contradicts McCain Again
Palin & McCain Out Of Synch On North Korea Being Removed From U.S. Terrorism List
Sarah Palin took questions from the press (gasp!) while at a market/gas station in Altoona, Pennsylvania on Sunday, October 11 and shared her position on North Korea being removed from the U.S. terrorism list.
Unfortunately, she forgot to check with John McCain to see what his position was on this issue. It's a bit reminiscent of two weeks ago when the McCain campaign forgot to inform Palin they were pulling out of Michigan and she appeared on Fox News to publicly disagree with that decision.
Perhaps, when learning of the top of the ticket's stance on North Korea, she fired off another email to McCain, as she did in the Michigan incident.
John McCain: Not Yet Convinced
"I expect the administration to explain exactly how this new verification agreement advances American interests and those of our allies before I will be able to support any decision to remove North Korea from the list of state sponsors of terrorism," McCain said.
In addition, he expressed concern that U.S. allies in Asia, particularly Japan, had not been properly consulted.
"I am also concerned that this latest agreement appears to have been reached between Washington and Pyongyang and only then discussed with our Asian allies in an effort to garner their support," he said.
Sarah Palin: Has Faith In Condaleeza Rice's Wise Decision
"Condoleezza Rice, of course, having worked on this strategy for quite some time, I have faith in her that they're making this wise decision and North Korea, of course, better live up to its end of the bargain there, in speaking with the other countries whom they've been working with, in promising the verification. That end of the bargain has got to be lived up to."
